For Sale

We have been extremely busy the last several weeks. We decided to sell our house (instead of renting it out) and have really done a lot of work on it to make it look nice. We have had our house 'on the market' for a whole week and we already have an offer! Whoopee! We found out our furnace is rusty and has holes inside it :( so now we have to replace it. Oh, well. Once the house is sold, we won't have to worry about it anymore.

And after we painted. It looks so much nicer, now. Why didn't we do this years ago!


Bret replaced the smoke detectors with carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. New code. They are now required.


We replaced the door knobs on a couple closets. You'd think this would be something super easy to fix, but we had to put it off for 4 years! Why do we do that to ourselves!


New blinds for Brandon's room. He had ripped his down and broken his old blinds. Can they last until we move???


We had someone come and trim our 12 foot bushes and prune our trees.


We (meaning Bret) replaced a broken window to our garage with a $7.00 sheet of plexiglass. MUCH cheaper than a real glass window. One of our boys thought throwing rocks at the garage would be fun. They missed and broke a window. This happened only 1-2 years ago.


Bret also painted the trim on our garage (only on this one side) because the paint was peeling.


And look at my kitchen. Isn't it beautiful? It is so clean now. We have packed all of our nonessentials and it makes our house much less cluttered. We don't even have couches in our living room anymore, we gave them away after our yard sale.

I should have taken a picture of all the boxes we have packed! We have been sooo busy, but it paid off. Our house is under contract and things are going great.
