Wow, you're HUGE!

So at my last Dr. appointment, my midwife told me I was just a tiny little girl. That made me feel good, although I'm not feeling tiny right now. Two days later I was talking to a neighbor that I haven't really seen for a couple weeks and she said, "Wow! you're HUGE!" I laughed and agreed with her, but who wants to be told they're HUGE, even if they are! Gaining 20 lbs. over a 3-4 month period does not make a person feel tiny! Does she not remember being huge and pregnant herself? Or is she too old to remember that far back? Okay, that wasn't very nice to say, but jeez, maybe she should keep comments like that to herself when talking to an over-sensitive pregnant woman!

I'll stop complaining now. I guess lack of sleep from another cold is making me cranky.

Halloween

Here are my kiddos all dressed to go trunk-or-treating. Aren't they cute!?

Our Saturday morning activity was carving/coloring pumpkins.

I love Eric's grin in this first picture. He was concentrating so hard on coloring his pumpkin. He felt so big and so cool!

After working so hard on coloring his pumpkin, Brandon decided he had to carve it, too.

Carson first drew his scary face and then Daddy carved it for him.

Our Saturday morning activity the previous week was going to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. Brandon thought it was so cool to find an ear of corn in a CORN maze!

What a cheesey grin!

The kids climbed tractors...

Went through a hay maze...

And climbed a hay pyramid.

Happy Halloween!!

GUESS WHAT!!

We had our ultrasound today and....

it's a girl, it's a GIRL, IT'S A GIRL!!

Can you tell I'm excited? I love my boys, but I was so ready to try a girl this time. Yay!

Okay, off to take care of my sick, cranky boy.

Growing boy

I took Eric for his two-year-old checkup last week. He is growing! He now weighs 19 lbs. 2 oz. That may not seem very impressive for a two year old, but 2 1/2 months ago he was only 17 lbs. 6 oz. He gained almost 2 lbs. Yea!! He is eating much better than he was. Not great, but much better. We can finally put him in a forward facing car seat!! Good thing, too, we'll need the infant carseat in just a few short months!

Today, we are all home sick (except Bret-he NEVER gets sick!) Hopefully we will feel better tomorrow. I hate being sick when I'm pregnant. It makes everything so much more uncomfortable. And being sick and trying to take care of three sick boys is no fun either.

Crazy boys!

So this is a much more common occurence than the quietly coloring post. Music blasting (Brandon LOVES to listen to Bret's music, as loud as I will let him), running, yelling, screaming, laughing, kicking, hitting, crying, etc. Lately they like to dive onto a cushion or blanket onto the kitchen floor. I try to discourage this, as they don't always have the best aim and will miss the cushion or run/slide into a chair. Sometimes Eric is right in the middle of it all, trying to keep up with his crazy brothers and other times he just watches or quietly does his own thing.

Pumpkin patch--Mommy and Brandon

I got to with Brandon and his preschool group to a pumpkin patch last week. It was so much fun! It was nice to spend some one-on-one time with Brandon. That doesn't happen very often. His teacher really wanted me to come and keep an eye on Brandon, because she was afraid she would lose him! I actually almost lost hima couple times-he is so fast! I turn around for 2 seconds and he is GONE! Luckily he never ran into the corn maze, that could have been bad.

There was a barn with 3 different slides that the kids had a blast going down.

This area was for 5 and under. Corn and sand toys-so fun!

Hay pyramid. I was impressed how fast Brandon could climb up and down. We had about 10 or 15 minutes to wait for our turn for the tractor ride and he went up and down this thing AT LEAST 5 times and was getting bored with it after about 3 times. Some of the shorter girls couldn't even climb up one bale of hay without help.

At the top!

Tractor ride.

They had a couple different tractors the kids could climb, so we had to get some pics.

I'm hoping we can go back as a family on Saturday, but I heard it gets really crowded. We'll see...

What do you do when Dad's not around?

Last week Bret was out of town for three days for work. One of the nights I was on the computer and told the boys they had ten more minutes before time to get ready for bed. Carson got out paper and markers and started drawing pictures. Since "Sarson" was doing that, Eric had to joing him and went and got his own paper. And then, of course, since Carson and Eric were having so much fun drawing, Brandon had to join in the fun, too. What copycats. They were all lined up with there tummies on the carpet and their papers on the kitchen floor until I grabbed the camera. They were being so good (and so CUTE) that I let them draw for 1/2 hour before I said they had to get ready for bed.
