Eye surgery update

We finally took Brandon to get a second opinion about the surgery they wanted do on his eyes in Colorado. We got a referral to Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) and went to see the specialists there.

Here are Brandon and Eric in the waiting area. They were really good throughout the whole morning and the doctors worked really well with Brandon.

Brandon was shaking his head back and forth and insisted I take a picture of him being silly.


We were told that Brandon will probably still need eye surgery, but they don't want to do it, yet. They tested his eyes and told me he should be testing better than he was. So they changed his prescription and want to see him back in three months and go from there. He has strong astigmatism is his eyes and one eye sees a lot better than the other, so he uses that eye to focus on things while the other seems to focus just above where it is supposed to. So we will see what happens over the next little while.
